The Pitt County Council on Aging serves over 300 people daily through the Meals on Wheels program. Be a driver to deliver a warm meal and a newspaper to a homebound senior. This helps older adults in our community that are oftentimes lonely and isolated that cannot cook for themselves or cannot afford to. The program also allows volunteers to provide wellness checks to make sure they are healthy and fed. Just by volunteering one hour a week, you can bring them cheer and hope.
Volunteers must be 18 years or older and have a car available to drive. Children or grandchildren are welcome to accompany an adult during deliveries.
